We are here to help

The Counseling Center is staffed by a Christian counselor who is committed to clinical excellence. A biblical perspective is used as a foundation from which to address individual and family needs. Peace and serenity begin here.

Counselor Credentials

The center is staffed by Sylvia Atwell:

  • BS in early Childhood - University of North Alabama, 1983
  • MA Religious Education - Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, 1987
  • MEd Master of Education/Counseling - Carson Newman College, 2006
  • Member - American Association of Marriage & Family Therapist
  • Member - Tennessee Counseling Association
  • Member - Smokey Mountain Counselor Association

Financial Considerations

Counseling fees are $30.00 per session.

Location

Counseling Sessions will be held in the new wing of the Loudon County Baptist Association located at 814 Webb Circle in Lenoir City, Tennessee. For directions click here.

Confidentiality

All information will be secured by the counselor who operates under the strictest of client confidentiality laws. No Loudon County Baptist Association personnel shall have access to any information related to a person who requests and obtains counseling through the Loudon County Counseling Center.

When to Seek Help

When life is difficult, or when we are troubled, we may need to talk to someone. Talking with a trained professional counselor who understands can often lead to a new perspective and open the door to hope and healing.
