Ministry Trailer Now Available
We
now have an operational Ministry Trailer available for use by member
churches. The trailer would make an excellent addition to any
church's Vacation Bible School or other special event. Any
church in the Association may reserve the trailer by calling the
LCBA office.
The trailer contains several nice pieces of equipment that will make any church fellowship or outreach event more fun. Included are two inflatable castles for the children, a large gas grill, a popcorn machine, a 6 foot folding table, and miscellaneous small support items. In order for it to be used where electrical power is not available, a portable generator is included. The trailer even comes with an instruction manual.
The
planning for the trailer began well before the semi-annual meeting
in April. At that meeting, we discussed the plans and asked the
church messengers for contributions to help pay for the trailer.
Several churches and individuals responded to the request but we
expected that it still might take several months before we had
accumulated enough funds to purchase and equip the trailer. Thanks
in large part to a grant from the Tennessee Baptist Convention, and
some careful spending, we were able to get the trailer in operation
much earlier than we expected.
As additional funds become available through donations, we will add the LCBA name and logo to the trailer and possibly make improvements or additions to the trailer.
